We are pleased to announce that the European Research Council (ERC) will be participating in the Young EMERG Workshop that is being held at the Wellcome Genome Campus on 2 June 2023.

The ERC was set up by the European Union in 2007 and is the premier European funding organisation for excellent frontier research.
It funds creative researchers of any nationality and age, to run projects based across Europe.
The ERC's mission is to encourage the highest quality research in Europe through competitive funding and to support investigator-driven frontier research across all fields, based on scientific excellence - all objectives that align with EMERG and that are absolutely necessary for research into ME.

It is, therefore, very important for early career researchers to engage with ERC - especially so for early career researchers performing research into myalgic encephalomyelitis.

It is also very important to raise awareness of the Young EMERG network among European agencies and demonstrates that the European ME Research Group working with early career investigators and patients with ME are working together to provide a future pathway for careers in this field.
